Automatic data storage

When you visit a website today, certain information is created and stored automatically. This site is delivered by our hosting provider, whose web servers record standard access data in server log files:

• the address (URL) of the accessed web page
• browser and browser version
• the operating system used
• the address (URL) of the previously visited page (referrer URL)
• the host name and IP address of the device from which access is made
• date and time of the request

This data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We do not pass this data on, and we do not merge it with other data sources. Log data is retained by the hosting provider for a short period and then deleted automatically.

Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser connects to GitHub’s servers, which process your IP address in order to deliver the page and to protect the service against attacks. Data may be transferred to the USA on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses. Details are available in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. If you use the colour theme switch, your choice is stored locally in your own browser (localStorage). That value never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.

Fonts

The typefaces used on this site are delivered from our own web space. No connection to Google Fonts or any other font service is established, and no data about you is transmitted to a font provider.

Analytics and tracking

We do not use Google Analytics, tag managers, advertising pixels, embedded videos, embedded maps or social media plug-ins. There is no profiling and no automated decision-making.

Contact by e-mail and through the support form

If you contact us by e-mail, or use the request form on the support page, the data you provide (such as your name, e-mail address, company, position and your message) is processed in order to handle your enquiry. The support form contains no server component: it opens your own e-mail programme with the request pre-filled, so the message travels through your own mail provider.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a contract, and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for all other enquiries. We keep the correspondence for as long as needed to answer it and to comply with statutory retention obligations.

Appointment booking

The “Book a consultation” buttons link to an external scheduling service (Calendly). No data is transmitted until you follow the link. Once you are on that service’s page, its own privacy policy applies.

TLS encryption

This website uses HTTPS to transfer data securely. You can recognise a protected connection by the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection with regard to your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, write to support@certos.ai.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Germany, the data protection authority of your federal state; in Austria, the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna (dsb.gv.at).

Changes to this policy

We update this declaration whenever the technical setup of the website changes. This version reflects the static site as published on this domain.
